How to Make Flower Essences at Home
While you can buy reputable flower essences, you can also make your own in your kitchen. It’s simple and rewarding to create your own wellness products with your own two hands.
You Will Need:

A clean bowl of fresh spring or purified water (avoid distilled water)

Blossoms or other plants of choice
-
Something soft to remove the flowers (leaf, linen, or cotton cloth)

A glass amber bottle for the Mother Essence
-
A 1-ounce glass amber or cobalt dropper bottle for the Stock Essence
-
A preservative (Brandy, vegetable glycerin, or sovereign silver)
-
The power of the sun and/or moon
Choose Your Blossoms, Thank Them, and Make Your Essence
Select flowers based on their benefits or what draws you during a walk or forage.
Pick blooms gently and place them face-up in water, without submerging them.
Let Sit Under the Sun or Moonlight
Place the bowl in direct sunlight for 3–5 hours or under moonlight for a couple of hours.
Make Your Concentrated Flower Essence
Step 1: Make the Mother Essence – Strain flowers, fill bottle half with essence water and half with preservative.
Step 2: Make the Stock Bottle – Use 2–10 drops of Mother Essence, fill rest with half preservative and half spring water.

How to Use Flower Remedies

Under the tongue – 2–4 drops, up to 4 times a day.
